Esplanade of Woodmere celebrated The Longest Day® on Tuesday, June 21st to raise awareness and funds to advance the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
The Longest Day is a team event held annually on the summer solstice to support Alzheimer’s Association’s mission to fight Alzheimer’s disease. Including the most hours of daylight, this bright day symbolizes people across the globe fighting the darkness of Alzheimer’s through fundraising activities.
On The Longest Day, Esplanade of Woodmere, wore purple in support of the Alzheimer’s Association in conjunction with conducting fundraising activities that included setting up a beautiful lemonade stand outside of our community and handed out fresh baked blueberry pies on a stick, and refreshing blueberry lemonade.
Our community successfully raised $800 in donations given by our generous community, family and friends!
