Chapel Hill Senior Living, an exceptional senior living community in Cumberland, RI, is hosting a grand opening celebration to kick-start its new best-in-class fitness center on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, from 2:00-4:00PM. Our vibrant 120-unit community offers compassionate assisted living services and a distinctive dementia care program based on a Montessori methodology for seniors with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia in a newly constructed memory care neighborhood.
Our new fitness center will offer our residents state-of-the-art equipment that supports a full array of robust fitness activities. Residents will benefit from exercising with a new box master tower that can improve stamina, coordination, agility and cardiovascular health. Featuring a Relaxing Light Wall, the fitness center will convey a tranquil atmosphere that enhances activities for residents such as Yoga and Tai Chi that increase flexibility and improve mood.
Introducing the new fitness center at Chapel Hill Senior Living underscores our focus on active living that provides daily engagement and social activities which is an important key to support overall wellness among the resident population. The National Institute on Aging has conducted several research studies that show a correlation between social interaction among seniors and their health and well-being. These emotional bonds can lead to healthier lifestyles including being active, eating healthy foods, and ceasing poor health habits such as smoking.
Our Grand Opening celebration on June 30th from 2:00-4:00PM is open to the public will be onsite at the community at 10 Old Diamond Hill Rd in Cumberland. This event will feature tailored tours; a door raffle for a gift basket that contains a Massage Envy gift card, yoga mat, essential oils, and candles; a live piano player; delicious hot and cold appetizers such as shrimp cocktails, antipasto dishes, and more; beverages including signature cocktail, wine, and refreshers; and, if the weather permits, outdoor games including corn hole.
