Chapel Hill Senior Living will welcome Allison M. Acquisto, DHSc, MA, RDN, LDN, Associate Professor in the Nutrition and Dietetics department at Johnson and Wales University on Friday, April 5 for a cooking demonstration in the community’s greenhouse. Allison will present “Spring into Summer with Veggies and Herbs,” sharing with residents how to add flavor that enhances the fresh produce they grow.
The presentation is a feature of Chapel Hill’s distinctive Life Inspired programming, designed to improve the well-being of residents through its Five Dimensions of Wellness: physical, connections, passion, mind, and creativity. Through Allison’s demonstration, residents benefit from connections to the greater community at large, as well as nurturing their interest of gardening and cooking.
Johnson and Wales University, located in Providence, is widely known nationally for their culinary arts program that includes majors like Nutrition, Sustainable Food Systems, Wine and Beverage Education, and Food Service Management. We are proud to partner with the community in bringing educational and enriching programming to Chapel Hill.
