Worthington Manor Celebrates the Success of Lake Creek High School Students

Worthington Manor Senior Living, a leading assisted living and memory care community, proudly recognizes the exceptional achievements of two remarkable students from Lake Creek High School within Montgomery Independent School District in Conroe, Texas. These students have demonstrated the true essence of compassion and dedication by embarking on a transformative journey at Worthington Manor Senior Living as part of their Health Science Practicum Program. Their selflessness and commitment have left an indelible mark on the lives of the residents, inspiring others to pursue careers in healthcare.

Under the exceptional guidance of Paula Millner, RN, the program director for Lake Creek High School, these students have showcased unwavering commitment throughout their experience at Worthington Manor. Piper Braune and Tara McShan, both on the path to pursuing Registered Nursing coursework at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, interned at Worthington Manor for 16 and 12 weeks, respectively. Equipped with the knowledge gained from their certification as Certified Patient Care Technicians (CPCT), these students brought a wealth of skills and enthusiasm to the residents they served.

The impact of their efforts did not go unnoticed. Recognizing their above and beyond dedication, as well as the significant amount of time they invested in improving the lives of the residents, Piper and Tara were honored as the inaugural recipients of the Worthington Manor Scholarship. Each student received a generous sum of $1,500.00, not only as a token of appreciation but also as a testament to their exceptional character and dedication to the healthcare field.

"In a world that often values individual achievement, the story of these Lake Creek High School students and their partnership with Worthington Manor reminds us of the importance of building strong communities and giving back," said Megan Christopher, executive director. "Their selflessness, dedication, and compassion have touched the lives of the residents they served, leaving a lasting impact that will be cherished for years to come."

Worthington Manor Senior Living acknowledges the invaluable support and guidance provided by Lake Creek High School in fostering a culture of service, compassion, and personal growth. This partnership has laid the foundation for the success of these students and the countless others who will follow in their footsteps.

As we continue our individual journeys, let us remember the transformative power of service and the profound impact we can have when we come together as a community. The story of Piper, Tara, and their fellow students at Lake Creek High School, supported by the inspiring environment of Worthington Manor, serves as a testament to the endless possibilities that lie within each of us to create a better, more caring world for everyone.
